Sometimes you stumble upon situations so awful that you can't help but laugh. It's like your brain tries to process the sheer level of unadulterated absurdity and just throws its hands up, opting for laughter as a coping mechanism.
But then, you remember that it's not really actually that amusing. It's just plain terrible. And the laughter you experienced morphs into a groan.
After all is said and done, you are left with a sense of confusion. You wonder about the meaning of it all. Was this intended to be funny?
Or were we just all part of a grand, cosmic prank?
A Disaster of Epic Proportions

Awful Day Ever
It all started with a case of terrible hair. I couldn't figure it to look presentable. As I was hurrying out the door, I fell and with a thud all over myself. To make matters worse, I was totally running behind for a very important appointment.

It all started out badly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then things went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each read more other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to scream into a pillow.
